CREEPY CREATORS

Lisa Robinson was never a pirate (unfortunately!), but she fondly remembers many a teacher she didn’t want to leave behind. Her daughters’ love of their preschool teachers inspired this tale. She is also the author of Pippa’s Night Parade and has two more pictures books coming out in 2020: Madame Saqui, Revolutionary Rope Dancer, illustrated by Rebecca Green, and Were I Not a Girl I Would Be a Soldier: The Inspiring and True Story of Dr. James Barry, illustrated by Lauren Simkin Berke. Eda Kaban was born and raised in Turkey. Her travels brought her to the United States, where she studied illustration. Her work can be seen in galleries from San Francisco to New York and in a variety of publications. Her recent children’s books include We Are Brothers, We Are Friends by Alexandra Penfold and Pink Is for Boys by Robb Pearlman. Her illustrations have been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, Creative QuarterlyAmerican Illustration, and 3x3.
